Recent
research has shown that teachers who focus student's attention on linguistic
forms during communicative interactions are more effective than those who never
focus on form or who only do so in decontextualized grammar lessons. However,
language specialists advise doing so by focusing on form within meaning-based
or communicatively – oriented contexts.
